Outside Lands Line-Up Announced: Paul McCartney, Willie Nelson & Family, Hall & Oates & More

Outside Lands has come along way from the time the area received its nickname. 130 years ago, Outside Lands was an uninhabitable and inaccessible patch of sand dunes. Today, the beautiful state park is host to one of the West Coast’s largest music festivals, held annually in San Francisco.

Robert Plant, John Paul Jones Make (Separate) Surprise Appearances At Hardly Strictly Bluegrass

Two members of Led Zeppelin made surprise appearances — albeit separately — at San Francisco’s Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival over the weekend. On Saturday, Robert Plant joined folk singer Patty Griffin during her solo acoustic performance at the free festival. Meanwhile, John Paul Jones, who has spent more time supporting other artists than making his own records in recent years, made three guest appearances.
