Yesterday, Prince tweeted out a link to a 36-second snippet of the song, “This Could Be Us,” which was inspired by a meme of him from Purple Rain where he’s seen riding on a motorcycle with Apollonia.

Less than 24 hours after he announced his new partnership with Warner Bros. Records, Prince also revealed a new song. “The Breakdown” dropped late Friday night (April 18) and is now available for fans to purchase on iTunes.
A new partnership between Prince and Warner Bros. will yield previously unheard music, the pair announced today.
Seems that duet between Prince and Zooey Deschanel wasn’t all for the cameras.
Rock group Arcade Fire was in Minneapolis this past weekend, and in a nod to the local hero, they covered Prince’s 1981 classic “Controversy.”
