Runner Ties NYC’s 2/3 Train in a One-Stop Race

Say what you want about the cleanliness, reliability and/or safety of the NYC transit system… NOTHING sets you off faster than missing your train. Especially when you make it to the platform just in time for the doors to slam in your face. All that running, for naught!

Subway enthusiast Matthew Ahn would probably disagree. You see, he decided to see if he could beat the 2/3 train from Chambers Street to Park Place (about 5 blocks), a distance which should have taken the train about two minutes to travel.

Both Matthew and the train arrived at the same time!

Watch the race below!

Matthew also set the Guinness World Record in 2016 for the fastest time to hit all 468 NYC subway stations (in 21 hours, 49 minutes and 35 seconds).

By the way… Enjoy having that kazoo song stuck in your head the rest of the day.
