With a career spanning 50 years, John Oates was bound to make some mistakes between recording hit records and performing in front of sold out arenas as one half of Hall & Oates. With the release of his memoir — Change of Seasons — Oates details a life filled with both oversight and success.
“I don’t have anything to be ashamed of. I did what I did. I made some mistakes but, you know, I was a kid and I was a musician. I won’t be the first musician who made a lot of stupid mistakes,” Oates tell Scott Shannon. “At the same time, I think I did some good things and I had some interesting friendships and encounters along the way with people like Hunter Thompson and Andy Warhol.”
Daryl Hall and John Oates will be performing with Tears for Fears on June 16th at Forest Hills Stadium and June 17th at the Prudential Center. You can win tickets through CBS-FM here.
