The KLF Announce Return To Rock You

KLF… uh huh uh… uh huh uh huh!

Well, it’s official. After a twenty-three year hiatus, Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty have announced the return of their ’80s hip-hop influenced dance outfit The KLF, (or The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu, or the JAMS depending on how they felt at the time).

You may be saying, “KL who?” Well, you should remember their international top 10 single “3AM Eternal.”

The official announcement comes as a poster distributed around London today (January 5), hot on the heels of a 45-minute video released on New Year’s Day — although the band is distancing themselves from said video in the poster. Either way, it’s pretty coincidental.

Click here to see the poster. Here are some points to take away…

  • It is almost 23 years since the Justified Ancients Of Mu Mu announced a self imposed and self important 23 year moratorium.
  • The Justified Ancients Of Mu Mu have zero involvement with any video clips, films, recorded music, documentary productions, biographies, West End musicals or social media chatter relating to the letters K L or F, now or at any other time over the previous 23 years.
  • The Justified Ancients Of Mu Mu are currently at work in their light industrial unit. This work will not be made public until the 23rd August 2017.

August 23, 2017 marks the 23rd anniversary of The KLF’s infamous publicity stunt where they burned a cool 1 million British pounds in cash.

If you’re unfamiliar with the story of The KLF, watch the video here.
