Blast Into the Past with Venue Timelines, Coming To a Theater Near You

You certainly remember that epic concert you went to back in 1996 — but you may not remember the name of the amazing band that opened up the show. You may also have taken some photos on your flip phone, but never had a place to put them (other than your MySpace page.) Well, this is all about to change.

Concert venues will soon begin hosting their entire show history on their websites (as well as the venue’s page within the FANS app), and fans will also be able to contribute photos, videos and memories.

It’s all starting with Port Chester, NY’s Capitol Theatre and the newer but no less iconic Brooklyn Bowl in NYC.

Venue timelines are an industry-first because, typically, a venue’s site only shows current and upcoming concerts, but now fans will be able to see every single show a stage has hosted—including those historic performances that make you wish you were there (like Janis Joplin’s last NY show hosted at The Cap).

You can peruse through the two venues’ pasts by clicking the links above, plus get more info about the app right HERE.
