Nickelback Covered a Don Henley Song

"Kick 'em when they're up, kick 'em when they're down."

By Hayden Wright

As Nickelback gears up for their European tour, they’ve spent some time goofing around in the studio and playing other people’s music. One cover they couldn’t keep to themselves was Don Henley’s “Dirty Laundry,” his first solo hit from 1982. The band shared that cover with the world via Twitter, and their fans on Twitter were—presumably—delighted.

“Sometimes you play a song in the studio for fun,” the band tweeted. “Sometimes it’s so fun you have to record & share it with everyone!”

It’s unclear whether the Henley song will crack the setlist for European dates, but the tour kicks off in Helsinki on September 2.
