Listen: Led Zeppelin’s Previously Unreleased Song ‘Sunshine Woman’

Led Zeppelin has officially made the longtime unreleased “Sunshine Woman” available to the public. The track had previously only been available on bootlegs, but will be included on the band’s upcoming The Complete BBC Sessions release.

When asked about the track — recorded during a 1969 “lost session” — Page says “There’s no point pretending it wasn’t recorded off the radio.”

During Alexis Korner’s World Service Show in 1969, Page said “Sunshine Woman” was “basically made up on the spot” and later added, “It was pretty brave, bearing in mind the circumstances… We played it as if we were in rehearsals, starting it around the riff and then working it out. It shows that we were evolving pretty quickly.”
