Arcade Fire Covers Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Born In the USA’

By Annie Reuter

It’s no secret that the members of Arcade Fire are Bruce Springsteen fans; the band even frequently covers the Boss’ tunes live. At a recent festival in Barrie, Ontario, Arcade Fire performed a cover of The Boss’ “Born In the USA,” then segued into their own Springsteen-inspired number “Keep the Car Running.”

The Springsteen number featured violin accompaniment and a fervent audience sing along. In 2007, an ecstatic Arcade Fire joined Springsteen on stage for a performance of “Keep The Car Running,” and Springsteen’s “State Trooper” and “Born To Run.”
