As long as it’s not a new billion-dollar stadium, NFL owners won’t hesitate to spend their money on something they want. Look no further than Indianapolis Colts owner and music memorabilia fanatic, Jim Irsay, for example.
Irsay laid down a cool $137,500 for Prince‘s Yellow Cloud electric guitar during an auction held by Heritage Auctions in Beverly Hills, California on June 22nd. The solid body guitar is said to have been a favorite of Prince’s during the late 1980s and mid 1990s.
The Indianapolis Colts owner also owns several other prices pieces of music memorabilia, including former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr’s first drum kit, which Irsay took home for a paltry $1.75 million.
