Prince was remembered yesterday (May 15), in a private ceremony at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Minnetonka, Minnesota.

The 45-minute ceremony was an invitation-only event, according to the BBC. Hundreds of mourners attended, including Prince’s friend Sheila E and members of his band, 3rdEyeGirl. Former Sly and the Family Stone bassist Larry Graham was also there and spoke at the memorial service. Graham first introduced Prince to the Jehovah’s Witnesses faith and was a mentor up until the time of his death.

The service began with the song “He Will Call,” followed by an opening prayer. A quote from Prince on the program of the memorial read, “If I were to ever write down my life story, I could truly say with all the fame and glory, I was just a piece of clay in need of the potter’s hand.”

Sunday’s service marks the latest memorial held by members of the late singer’s family. On Wednesday, May 11 the artist’s two ex-wives Manuela Testolini and Mayte Garcia held a memorial in Los Angeles. Attendees included Herbie Hancock, Tavis Smiley, Dita Von Teese, and Spike Lee.

And Prince’s sister, Tyka Nelson, revealed on Facebook last week that there will be an upcoming public memorial service for the late music star.

“Together, the family is planning an official memorial service and public event to take place in the near future,” she write. “Prince and his music influenced so many people that we feel inspired to celebrate his life and legacy in just the right way. We appreciate the public’s patience and have been comforted by your outpouring of love, support and condolences. We look forward to sharing with the world this celebration of, and farewell to, our Prince. Details will be coming soon.”
