Axl Rose on Guns ‘N’ Roses Coachella Reunion: ‘It Was Really Nice’

Phase One of the long-awaited, never-thought-it-would-happen Guns ‘N’ Roses reunion is complete. Members Duff McKagan, Slash, and Axl Rose took the stage at Coachella for two shows; two shows no one believed would happen until they were completed, if we’re using Rose’s past behavior as evidence. For now we can say Rose has matured from his riot-inducing early exits of years gone by. He even showed up to work with a broken foot, albeit with the help of Dave Grohl‘s rock ‘n’ roll thrown.

Before heading to Europe for rehearsals as AC/DC‘s temporary frontman, a scootering Rose was spotted by TMZ and asked how he thought the reunited GN’R performed at Coachella.

“The shows went really good. The crowd was amazing. It was really nice,” Rose said while navigating his way on two wheels through LAX.. “The first show was good. The second show was more fun.”

When asked to elaborate on the “more fun” had during the second show, Rose attempted to clarify, adding, “I don’t know. The crowd was even more responsive.”

Rose and his healing broken foot will taking the stage with AC/DC when they begin touring through Europe on May 7th. He is expected to be fully recovered by the time GN’R begins their Not in This Lifetime tour in Detroit on June 23rd.
