Ringo Starr Cancels North Carolina Concert

Ringo Starr has canceled a June 18th date in North Carolina.

The artist joins a list of high profile stars who are boycotting the state after the passage of a controversial “Religious Liberty” law, which many see as a thinly veiled justification for business owners to discriminate against the LGBT community.

“I’m sorry to disappoint my fans in the area, but we need to take a stand against this hatred. Spread peace and love,” said Ringo in a prepared statement. “How sad that they feel that this group of people cannot be defended,” he continued.
