Neil Young has a little problem with Donal Trump’s bid for President of the United States, but it has nothing to do with his politics. It’s all about his use of a certain song.
During Trump’s announcement that he would be running as a Republican candidate for president he chose to use Young’s 1989 hit “Rockin’ in the Free World.” A big no-no being that he didn’t get permission from Young first.
“Donald Trump was not authorized to use ‘Rockin’ in the Free World’ in his presidential candidacy announcement,” read a statement Young’s management gave the Wall Street Journal.
