American Idol Winner Nick Fradiani Heads Out on the Road with ‘Idols Live’

Joining us in the Big Show studio this morning was the season 14 winner of American Idol, and one of Patty Steele’s heart throb hunks, Nick Fradiani.

Nick is the most recent winner of the long running (and soon to be canceled) musical competition show American Idol. This year, the show’s 14th season Nick ran the gauntlet and took home the crown after beating out tons of fantastic singers, including Clark Beckham and hometown NJ girl, Jax.

Nick, who was working as a computer software salesman when he decided to try out for Idol, is now headlining the “American Idols Live” tour which hits the New York Tri-state area on July 22nd at the Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown, August 1st at Caesars Atlantic City, August 2nd at the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank, NJ and August 5th at NYC’s iconic Beacon Theater.

Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com.

Raised in Guilford, Connecticut, Nick’s father taught him guitar, piano, and drums. Before auditioning for American Idol, Nick was the lead vocalist of the band Beach Avenue, who auditioned for the ninth season of America’s Got Talent, but he and his band were eventually cut during judgement week.

Watch the video above as we chat with Nick about what it was like to walk away the winner knowing that Clark Beckham was considered a heavy favorite.

And be sure to keep up with all things Nick on his Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts.
