KISS might have been the only four people at this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade who didn’t have a good time.
Though they performed atop a float at the 88th annual parade, an annual harbinger of holiday cheer, the band was not happy with how their show went down.
After the parade, frontman Paul Stanley tweeted, “Bluntly, we were screwed over & misled by the exec in charge of #MacysThanksgivingDayParade. We ALL deserved better.”
It’s unclear what exactly upset the band—if it was the fact that the camera lagged and the band wasn’t shown until the first hook of “Rock and Roll All Nite.” Or, as Billboard points out, maybe the band was upset by the fact that the camera seemed to have confused Gene Simmons and Tommy Thayer, showing the outspoken bassist during the guitarist’s solo.
