By the executive producer who brought viewers “The Real Housewives” television franchise, Andy Cohen joined Scott Shannon and the gang on the Big Show Star Phone this morning to chat about his latest, adorable endeavor.
The Emmy and Peabody Award winner is set to release his new book “The Andy Cohen Diaries: A Deep Look at a Shallow Year” on Tuesday, November 11th.
“It’s as close to me doing my own reality show as I’ll ever get,” Andy explains to Scott.
Majorly inspired by the late Andy Warhol and his book “The Andy Warhol Diaries,” Andy Cohen says that the book is “not only behind the scenes of a late night talk show and a lot of celebrity dish, it’s about a guy and his dog.”
That’s right. Andy Cohen’s book is not about a human love story in one of the most cliché cities in the world, but finding strong companionship in a dog he rescued. (Cue the awwww’s!)
Though he admits never owning a dog or a pet in his entire life until that moment, Andy explains the importance of having his best friend in his book.
“Anyone who’s got an animal will relate to it,” he says.
In addition to the book release next week, Andy will be making an appearance at the Union Square Barnes & Noble on November 13th followed by an interview with Anderson Cooper the day after at the 92nd Street Y.
