Dionne Warwick “Feels So Good” With New Album Release

If you’ve got a lot of faith in yourself, then your career could be just as successful as that of Dionne Warwick.

The five-time GRAMMY Award winner joined Scott Shannon and the crew on the Big Show this morning to talk about her 28th studio album, “Feels So Good.”

Being a veteran in the game, doing duets are no stranger to Dionne Warwick. As matter of fact, she’s sung with Luther Vandross, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Barry Manilow, and her late cousin Whitney Houston in the past. And with the release of her new album, Warwick gave the details on how the duets were being revived and divided amongst the artists.

Bringing up Scott’s favorite song, “Message to Michael,” Warwick mentioned it was also her good friend Cyndi Lauper’s favorite and that she chose to do the duet with her for the album.

“All my duet partners decided the songs they wanted to sing with me, which was a pleasure,” she told Scott. “That way I didn’t have to wreck my brain to think what would fit with them.”

Also mentioning her duet with Ruben Studdard on her 1964 A-side track, “You’ll Never Get to Heaven (If You Break My Heart),” she was surprised to hear that the younger generation knew about her music, even though it was through their parents.

That just goes to show that  her classics are timeless.

“Feels So Good” is out now in stores and online for download. The 14-track album features duets with Gladys Knight, CeeLo Green, Cyndi Lauper, Mya, Jamie Foxx, and more!
