Long ago are Ralph Malph’s “Happy Days,” but there’s a new show in town where you could catch Donny Most.
The Brooklyn native joined Scott Shannon and the crew on the Big Show star phone this morning, not only to reminisce on his “Happy Days,” but to talk about his new show “Donny Most Sings and Swings.”
Singing the songs of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin with a seven-piece band, Scott says that the show will be awesome.
“I think it will. I hope so,” Donny responded, causing a burst of laughter in the studio.
This isn’t the first time Most has performed in front of a live audience; he’s been singing songs from the ‘20s and ‘30s since the age of 15 – way before he even started acting! According to him, getting back into the singing game after a long run on screen is like going back to his first love.
“I loved it my whole life,” he says to Scott and Patty. “I just get as high as a kite with this kind of music with a great band behind me, great arrangements, and people who love the music and sharing it with them, there’s no greater high for me.”
When asked if he sings “That’s Amore” or “Beyond the Sea” in his show, Donny responds by saying that he doesn’t have them on the line-up yet but he does do “Mack the Knife,” and “Lazy River.”
Not giving away too much, Donny Most invites you to see “Donny Most Sings and Swings” on Wednesday, October 22, at 7:00PM at the Broadway Supper Club, 54 Below.
