‘Dogs In The City’ Star Justin Silver Teaches Owners How Dogs Think In New Book

Put the rolled up newspaper away and stop sticking your dog’s nose in the wet spot on the rug to try and teach him or her a lesson. Star of the CBS show Dogs in the City has the tips you need for your dog to live a happy and healthy life in New York City.

The key, which Silver details in his new book The Language of Dogs, is to learn how your dog thinks and reacts.

“I wanted to write a book that came from the perspective of the dog, teaching owners how dogs think, how they learn…” says Silver. “I give all these tests… to teach you how to focus on what your dog’s specific language is, what they’re motivated by, what their drives are.”

An important approach Silver takes with the book is keeping it lighthearted and simple, just like his real life sessions.

“I really don’t try to tell people what to do or to boss them around,” he adds.

The Language of Dogs is available for purchase on Amazon.com and get Justin Silver’s 6 Tips For Owning A Dog In Urban Areas from CBS Minnesota.
