Kathrine Narducci, star of The Sopranos and A Bronx Tale, called in to the CBS-FM Star Phone talk about her roles in the upcoming film adaptation of Jersey Boys and Starz’s new crime drama Power, produced by 50 Cent.
New York City born and raised, Narducci told Scott Shannon that she had so much fun playing Frankie Valli‘s mother Mary, who she describes as a “typical, old school Italian mother.”
On the role she says, “I had so much fun with the wardrobe because it was the 50s, 60s, and 70s, so I went through a few changes and that was a lot, a lot, a lot of fun. It was an amazing experience.”
Narducci’s new show, Power, debuts on Starz this weekend and she is elated to have found such a juicy role as Frankie Lavaro, a Harvard educated US attorney. “She’s smart she’s tough… Thank god she is not a stereotypical Italian housewife, nagging girlfriend. I am so happy that I am getting my breakout role.”
Jersey Boys, based on the hit Broadway play of the same name, debuts in theaters June 20th and Power, about the New York Club scene and drug trade, premieres on Starz June 7th.
