Comedian Jim Norton makes no secret of the fact that he loves rock and roll; Norton loves Black Sabbath and hates Dave Matthew’s Band. But when it comes to KISS, Norton’s love turns to infatuation in, what some might consider, an unhealthy way.
“I used to fantasize about them… I was like seven years old,” recalls Norton. “[KISS] would beat me and hurt and throw me down the steps and then hug me and love me and make me feel better when it was over.”
“I don’t know what that meant, if it was anything weird,” added the always brutally frank Norton. “But that was a really weird connection I had to love and unpleasantness.”
For those new to Norton’s comedy, he makes sex and self-deprecation a major influence on his material.
Norton will be performing at Caroline’s from April 24-27. Tickets can be purchased through jimnorton.com. Listen to Scott Shannon’s full hilarious interview with Jim Norton below.
