Paul McCartney will appear on an hour-long music special of The Colbert Report next Wednesday, June 6th. The appearance on Comedy Central’s late night satirical news program will precede two performances at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on June 8th and 10th.
McCartney’s hour-long appearance is the second in the Colbert Report’s history, the first being Radiohead in September 2011. The show will include an interview with McCartney and be highlighted by a performance from the former Beatle, spotlighting songs from his current Out There tour, the 2013 reissue of Wings Over America and more.
“I think this McCartney kid’s got something special and I’m gonna put him on the map!” Colbert said in a statement according to Rolling Stone.
McCartney previously appeared on The Colbert Report in January 2009 for a bit called “Better Know a Beatle.”
