A member of the CBS family called into the Dan Taylor show this morning to help get CBS-FM geared up for the Big Game this weekend in New Orleans. Aisha Tyler is currently a co-host on CBS’s daytime talk show The Talk and is down in the Big Easy with the quarterback of WFAN’s morning show, Boomer Esaison.

Tyler and Esaison, who also co-hosts The NFL Today, will be counting down Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials tonight (January 30) at 8pm. Commercials during the Big Game have become a huge source of revenue for companies looking to make a splash (and a buck) from those tuning in. But they have become more than just a means to sell a product; the commercials’ entertainment value are also a huge draw.

“People watch the Super Bowl as much for the commercials as they do for game play itself,” says Tyler, who also voices “Lana Kane” in the animated spy comedy Archer. She also shared an interesting fact, for women like our own Deborah Rodriguez, who tune in to the game every year even though despite their lack of interest in the game.

“Twice as many women watch the Super Bowl as watch the Oscars,” says the San Francisco born Tyler, who admits to doing her fair share of “Kaepernicking” in support of her hometown team, the 49ers.

Fans can vote for their favorite commercials at cbs.com/superbowl. The final three (3) will go head-to-head-to-head with a LIVE ONLINE VOTE during the broadcast and crown a winner at the end of the show.

The Talk is broadcasting live all week with great guests from Jackson Square in the heart of the historic French Quarter. Guests will include Neil Patrick Harris, New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees, CBS sportscaster Jim Nantz and many others. Viewers of The Talk will be treated to the music of Train all week, as they will be sitting in as the show’s house band.

Overall, the week will be an exciting experience consisting of all things New Orleans.

“[We're] Bringing the people not just the excitement of the Super Bowl but the culture, the flavor, the food, the people and the music of New Orleans,” exclaims Tyler.
