This year we have a simple New Years resolution for you: start following Richard Marx on Twitter.
Sure, he’s a talented songwriter, but did you know he’s also a very skillful tweeter?
Richard manages to make anything from his music career to auto-correct to the Pope seem funny.
Don’t believe us?
Check out the 10 reasons why we believe you should start paying attention to Richard’s tweets in 2013.
He knows his music. Well, sort of knows.
Radio on. I thought, "Wow. Michael Bublé made a country record??!!" DJ says, "That's new from Hunter Hayes."

He’s not interested in using comic sans to express himself.
Anybody out there any closer to inventing a sarcasm font? Please, please hurry.

He’s not afraid to poke a little fun at himself, or Christopher Walken for that matter.
Really grateful to still have hair at all but...sometimes I have a real Christopher Walken thing happening. http://t.co/bGXm39gC

And definitely doesn’t mind having a little fun with his fans.
“@JohnnyFulf: @richardmarx anybody ever tell you that you look like Willem Dafoe?” Only Stevie Wonder.

He stands for the truth and is staunchly anti-hurricane, despite what you may have heard.
Just want to state for the record that the ONLY reason I wasn't part of the 12-12-12 concert was that no one involved asked me.

He’s as confused as we are about the decisions auto-correct makes.
iPhone autocorrects my text that starts with "Yo" to "To" but has no issue sending "Merry Chridmus" right on through.

He makes vocal problems seems a lot funnier than they really should be.
Just tried to rescue my voice from Witness Protection and while there...bumped into my career.

He created a show we’d really like to watch.
So Reba McIntire is now just REBA. If I ever get popular again I'm going to be known as just DICK.

He likes a good “I’m so drunk right now” joke as much as the rest of us or at least as much as Blake Shelton.
I'm so drunk right now @blakeshelton would be, like.."Dude...chill."

And most importantly, Richard makes us wish the Pope would step up his Twitter game.
The Pope is now on Twitter. I give him til dinner before he retweets Kim Kardashian or shows us his dessert.
