The United Way of western Connecticut has taken the lead in deciding how to spend money that was donated in the wake of the tragic shooting in Newtown.
In a statement, the United Way says “we just don’t know what the needs are going to be, we don’t know if the community is going to need to build a whole new school.”
Donations can be mailed to:
Sandy Hook School Support Fund
c/o Newtown Savings Bank
39 Main Street, Newtown CT 06470
Interested donors can also contact the western Connecticut United Way at (203) 792-5330.
