Ever since Michael Jackson passed away June 25, 2009, he has been number one on Forbes List of “Top Earning Dead Celebrities.” Back then, the King of Pop surpassed the King of Rock Elvis Presley. Last year, Michael Jackson made $145 million, which still puts him far ahead of most living artists. Things have changed and Michael Jackson is now number two on the money making list of stars who are deceased. That title now belongs to Elizabeth Taylor, who comes in at number one, earning $210 million this past year!

Elvis Presley drops down to number three on the list and still earns around $55 million annually. Not bad considering he hasn’t been around for 35 years. Peanuts creator Charles Schulz’s earnings come in on the list at number four. But unlike the top three deceased earning artists, Charles Schulz also has an airport named after him in Santa Rosa, California.
Both deceased Beatles are also on the list with John Lennon coming in at number six and George Harrison at number 13.

And don’t forget this weekend on WCBS-FM, it is a “Rock ‘N’ Roll Heaven Weekend!”
