TV Guide has done extensive research and compiled the list of the highest paid TV stars! You may be surprised to see who is leading the pack in earnings!

Here’s part of the list, with the top earners in each TV category listed:

• Mark Harmon of NCIS tops the drama category with $500,000 per episode
• Ashton Kutcher makes $700,000 per episode of Two and a Half Men
• Dave Letterman is the highest paid late night host, making $28 million a year and out-earning Jay Leno by $3 mil
• Judge Judy Scheindlin tops the daytime/syndicated category with a whopping $45 million per year, leading the pack
• Mariah Carey will top the reality category by making $17 million per seasonon American Idol
• Matt Lauer is the top earning newsman, making $21.5 million a year  for Today
