Mr. G says we have a pretty decent weekend for outdoor activities, and there’s plenty to choose from!
First off, it’s a busy weekend aboard the Intrepid! It all starts tonight with their free Summer Movie series. Tonight’s movie is the first Spider-Man blockbuster from 2002 with Tobey McGuire, Kirsten Dunst…and Mr. G’s hand!
Bring a lawn chair or blanket on a first-come, first-served basis, gates open at 7pm. No alcohol allowed!
On top of the big Spider Man screening tonight, it’s also Firefighter Appreciation Weekend!
Events take place tomorrow and Sunday, including the fourth annual Battle of the Boroughs Cook-Off Competition!

Hudson River Park’s “Riverflicks” debuts for the Kids tonight!
Head down to Pier 46 around 8:30 to check out Kung Fu Panda 2! Free popcorn for everyone, with beverages and other snacks available for purchase

Great outdoor concert tonight!
The New York Philharmonic performs a FREE show on the great lawn in Central Park with a program featuring the works of Tchaikovsky and Respighi.
The special event begins at 8pm and a fireworks display will close out the show!
Also enjoy a free indoor concert at the Center for the Arts inside the College of Staten Island tomorrow night! The New York Philharmonic Brass will perform.

Celebrate all things France at the Bastille Day party this Sunday!
