Some will love this news, many will not. New York City subways are getting free WI-FI this summer courtesy of Google!

The free Wi-Fi is funded by the search engine giant and comes courtesy of Boingo wireless. The WiFi is available now through September 7th at the following locations:

  • The A, C and E station at Eighth Avenue and West 14th Street
  • The L station at Eighth Avenue and West 14th Street
  • The C and E station at Eighth Avenue and West 23rd Street
  • 1, 2, 3 station at Seventh Avenue and West 14th Street
  • The F and M station at Sixth Avenue and West 14th Street
  • L station at Sixth Avenue and West 14th Street

There is a chance the number of stations will increase and Google hopes the free Wi-Fi will continue past September through sponsorships! Tell us what you think about subway WiFi:
