What can I say about one of the best dance artists of our time? I’m still in shock over the passing of Donna Summer, who was a MAJOR part of my passion for dance music in the clubs and on the radio. Her music was magical. Constantly reinventing herself with every album of music she gave us.

I can still remember the feeling of bringing her on stage at Madison Square Garden, and watching the entire audience lose there minds over her. It was one of the greatest moments for me in radio. Artists like Madonna, Lady Gaga, and other pop superstars should pause for a moment and recollect on the originator.

My favorite Donna Summer Album of all time has to be Once Upon a Time. It was truly some of the very best music from her iconic career.

Of course, the best way to remember a music legend is by honoring the craft they perfected. In tribute to one of the most influential artists of a generation, and one of my personal favorites, I present to you Joe Causi’s “Essential Donna Summer Music Mix.”

“Could It Be Magic”

“Try Me, I Know We Can Make It”

“Spring Affair”

“I Feel Love”

“Fairy Tale High”

“MacArthur Park”

“Heaven Knows”

“On the Radio”

“She Works Hard for the Money”

“Love’s About to Change My Heart”
