Mom will certainly love all the attention she gets on Mother’s Day, between the gifts, dinner, and whatever else you have planned for her. But one thing she might want more than anything, is getting on the couch, putting her feet up, and finally having a moment to relax.
The perfect way to let mom relax and still spend time with her is to enjoy a movie together. We’ve got a few movie suggestions mom is sure to love, whether she likes to laugh, cry, or both! This means we’ve excluded Terminator 2 and Nightmare On Elm Street. Those movies rock, but we’re focusing on mom. Ya dig?
Go butter up the popcorn and let mom sit in the “good seat.” Then she’ll really know you love her.
Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot
Mom is always there to help you out, even without asking. She’ll make you breakfast, do your laundry, and even find you a semi-automatic weapon on the black market.
A League of Their Own
This is my mom’s personal favorite, so it must be included. It made her laugh. It made her cry. It made her force me to learn how to throw a curve ball.
Throw Momma from the Train
Of course, we would never plot to kill our mother. That’s why she’ll find it so funny, because you would never think of such a thing.
Mom will laugh, then look at dad and say, “I told you it wasn’t easy.”
Cheaper by the Dozen
Another one of those “I told you so” movies for mom. And if your mom gave birth to twelve kids, she deserves at least consideration for sainthood.
Where would you be without mom? No where! You would have never been a war hero, ping pong champion, or shrimping boat captain.
Give her a hug NOW!
Robin Williams’ bosom goes ablaze… gets her every time.
Proof that mom never wants to see you hurt and will do anything for you… ANYTHING!
There you have it, some funny and heart warming movies to watch with mom while she relaxes and sinks into the couch. Hopefully she doesn’t fall asleep. Lord knows she’s exhausted from doing so much for the people she loves.
