We’d Rather Be Sailing!

To properly celebrate the warm weather we’re having, we’re breaking out some Yacht Rock in the CBS-FM Hall of Fame today!

Yacht Rock describes a highly polished brand of soft rock that originated in Southern California between 1976 and 1984. It’s smooth, mellow music to enjoy while sipping Champagne on your yacht. “Yacht Rockers” include artists and bands such as Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, Steely Dan, and Christopher Cross to name a few.

We asked some of your favorite jocks at CBS-FM what their favorite Yacht Rock songs are and what those songs means to them. Put on your boat shoes and “come sail away” with CBS-FM today as we reminisce with the soft rock jams of the Yacht Rock era.
