Donovan will be inducted into the Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall of Fame on April 14th, and to coincide with that honor, a new compilation of his greatest hits from the 1960s and ’70s will be released.
The Essential Donovan will be released April 17th and feature hits like “Mellow Yellow,” “Sunshine Superman,” and “Wear Your Love Like Heaven.”

Available as a two-CD set and digital download, the compilation will include two songs previously unreleased in the US, a 1966 mono version of “The Land of Doesn’t Have to Be” and a 1973 live performance of “Hey Gyp (Dig the Slowness).” Additionally, two songs will make their US debut, renditions of “Sunny Goodge Street” and “Sand and Foam,” which were recorded at a 1967 concert.
Donovan is also scheduled to make an appearance on Conan, which airs on TBS, as a musical guest on March 28th.
