Pink Floyd has made a huge splash over the last few months with expanded reissues of The Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here.

All of which have made fans of English rock band very, very happy.

With the final phase of the reissues to be completed when The Wall‘s expanded “Immersion” and “Experience” editions release on February 28th, the group is beginning to toy with the idea of digging into the archives for some more expanded reissues.

“The idea was always to see whether people like these things or not. If they do, of course we could do more,” drummer Nick Mason told Billboard.

But what will be next?

Fans have been asking for 1977′s Animals to receive the special expanded treatment, which Roger Waters has already wished to remix, according to Mason.

Animals is the one record Roger said he’d like to have a go at remixing. That might be an exercise worth doing. Maybe David (Gilmour) disagreed enough that we could release David’s remix and Roger’s remix and, ideally, my remix as well.”

Another idea that has been tossed around involves digging even deeper into the Pink Floyd vault, dating back to their R&B days with original guitarist Syd Barrett.

Engineer Andy Jackson, who worked on the previous expanded reissues, says there is plenty of early material which never turned up on any of their albums.

“It’s R&B classics, the same as everybody else was playing back them,” says Jackson. “There’s a lot of recordings that may be brilliant for a future project.”

Let’s put you in charge!

What would you like Pink Floyd to give the expanded treatment to?
