Here’s what happened during the show…
Demi Lovato performed her brand new single, “Give Your Heart A Break” and was given the award for Best Pop Artist immediately following her performance.

Katy Perry and Russell Brand were no shows, but we knew that was happening already.
Comedian Adam Sandler gave a long yet hilarious acceptance speech where he thanks all the teachers that helped him, among those mentioned were “Mrs. Smells Like My Grandma’s Closet” and “Mr. Bald spot.”
