Another year is upon us and we have lots of big musical events and milestones to look forward to in 2012. New music from icons in the business, 50th anniversary tours, autobiographies and so much more!

What are you looking forward to most?

-It’s official that The Beach Boys WILL reunite for a 50th-anniversary tour and a new album!

-The Rolling Stones are ‘very close’ to finalizing tour plans for 2012.

-To mark the 40th anniversary of the Doors L.A. Woman, the three surviving members will reissue the album with a never-before released song from its sessions called “She Smells So Nice.”

-Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band will tour and release a new album this year for the first time without [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Clarence Clemons[/lastfm]

-Ringo Starr‘s new album Ringo 2012 comes out January 31st.

-Paul McCartney‘s new album comes out February 7th covering the songs that first influenced him.

-[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Carole King[/lastfm] celebrates her 70th birthday with the long-awaited autobiography A Natural Woman coming out April 10th

And if you ever wondered what a Bob Dylan record would sound like covered by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Miley Cyrus[/lastfm], you get your chance this month!

“Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International” comes out January 24th and the set features seventy-five newly recorded Dylan covers by artists like Miley!
