Michael has been fighting pneumonia recently, and after being hospitalized in Vienna, has decided to follow doctor’s orders and cancel the remainder of his tour. According to Rolling Stone, fans are encouraged to hold onto their tickets “while arrangements are made to reschedule the performances.”

As for George, his health has stabilized and will recover, though there is no timetable for how long it will take. “From the current point of view, the time until recovery cannot be estimated, but he will not be able to perform the rest of the tour. Besides medical treatment, complete rest and peace and quiet are mandatory,” Drs. Christoph Zielinski and Thomas Staudinger said in a statement.

Michael’s current tour had him performing his greatest hits, as well as covers, while accompanied by a full orchestra.
