The premiere for Martin Scorsese’s documentary George Harrison: Living in a Material World was held on October 2nd at London’s BFI Southbank. The red carpet event was attended by many and included interviews from Paul McCartney, Yoko Ono, Olivia Harrison, and Scorsese.

“He could be quiet, but he could be loud too depending on what mood he was in. But he was a great man,” McCartney told the press of Harrison. Known to the public as the “Quiet Beatle,” Harrison was quite vocal about topics that interested him, but was never one for the glamorous lifestyle.

“All of this would freak him out completely,” said Michael Palin, member of the comedy group Monty Python, when referencing Harrison’s feelings toward events like the evening’s premiere.
