America’s Got NO Talent; Poplyfe Covers Queen Hits ‘We Will Rock You’ and ‘We Are The Champions’

Maybe saying they have NO talent is a little harsh, but Oakland rock and soul band Poplyfe dropped the ball (and a few notes) when covering rock anthems “We Will Rock You” and “We Are The Champions” last night on America’s Got Talent.

We should know… we’ve heard our fair share of bad cover songs.

Frontwoman Kehlani Parrish was not happy with her flat performance of the night, which was evident by her teary-eyed, mascara covered face and heart felt apology.

“I just hope that people understand that we worked so hard,” Kehlani explained. “I just hope people understand we really want this.”

The judges didn’t think very much of the hopeful’s performance.

Howie Mandel: “I believe that you are champions, I believe that some of the notes were a little bit off…  hopefully, people will remember what you did in the past.”

Piers Morgan: “I thought some of the performance was a bit shaky.”

Sharon Osbourne: “Your singing wasn’t great tonight.”

Watch the performance and judge for yourself.

Poplyfe has one more chance at redemption and take the AGT crown tonight. And maybe next time they cover [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Queen[/lastfm] they’ll do what Lady Gaga and My Chemical Romance did… have guitarist [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Brian May[/lastfm] join them on stage.
