This weekend in the CBS-FM Hall of Fame, we’re featuring the Fabulous Frontmen of music. If these larger than life frontmen stood out from the rest of the band so much that they had to put their name in front, than you will be hearing them all weekend long.

Sure, all of the bands you’re going to hear this weekend made great music and are loved by many. But if it wasn’t for that iconic name that preceded the bands name, they might have had a little more trouble making it big, topping the charts, and getting spins over the airwaves.

[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Paul McCartney & Wings[/lastfm] was an extremely talented group, with [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Denny Laine[/lastfm] and Paul’s wife Linda aiding in the success, but it was Sir Paul who who was the unquestionable leader of the group during the bands decade of success.

There were plenty of other bands who had an iconic name preceding their band name, like [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Frankie Vallie & the Four Seasons[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Smokey Robinson & the Miracles[/lastfm], and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]KC & the Sunshine Band[/lastfm]. And of course, we can’t forget the ladies, like [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Gladys Knight & The Pips[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Joan Jett & the Blackhearts[/lastfm].

Get ready for a weekend full of Fabulous Frontmen (and women) in the CBS-FM Hall of Fame!
