Roger Waters Confirms Pink Floyd Reunion

Roger Waters recently spoke on the remaining stops on his The Wall: Live concert tour, and confirmed the previous rumors that David Gilmour would join him on stage for an epic [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Pink Floyd[/lastfm] reunion.

Speaking to Sky News in the U.K., Waters confirmed that Gilmour is still set to make a surprise appearance at an upcoming stop on the tour, where Waters performs the 1979 classic double-album The Wall in its entirety.

The show comes complete with a full stage and light show where a giant wall is literally built between the stage and the audience, only to crumble by the end.

The Pink Floyd reunion rumors began circulating last July, when a video surfaced of Waters and Gilmour performing together in a surprise appearance.

Former Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason fueled the rumors when he said the band could reunite for another benefit concert, and Waters hinted the two made a pact that Gilmour would join Waters at one of his concerts in return for performing with him in England.

Unfortunately for U.S. fans, all of Waters’ remaining tour dates are in Europe, so you’ll have to head overseas if you want to catch the one-time reunion in person.

According to Waters, lucky fans at one of the upcoming concerts will get to see Gilmour on stage with Waters for the first time since Live 8 2005, where the surviving members of Pink Floyd reunited for the South Africa benefit concert. Not only will it be at only one show, Waters hinted that it might only be one song!

“He’ll do ‘Comfortably Numb’ at one gig,” he told Sky News.

It’s tough to argue against “Comfortably Numb” being the one song Waters and Gilmour perform together at the concert. It’s one of the few songs on The Wall in which they share vocal duties.

And let’s be honest, is there a more iconic Pink Floyd guitar moment than Gilmour’s solo?
