Former [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Van Halen[/lastfm] frontman [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Sammy Hagar[/lastfm] — known as the “Red Rocker” — might just be a little off his rocker… or he is one prized specimen for contact from other planets. In his new memoir Red: My Uncensored Life in Rock, the rocker details his not one but multiple alien abductions where extraterrestrials “plugged into” his brain.
If you find this a little hard to believe, we don’t blame you. But Hagar swears that it was all real and that he’s been an experiment for aliens. See what he has to say about his abductions and tell us…is Sammy Hagar crazy or is he telling the truth?!

In an interview with MTV Hive, Hagar goes into detail about his alien abductions mentioned in his new memoir insisting his experience was all real.
“Aliens were plugged into me. It was a download situation,” said Hagar. “This was long before computers or any kind of wireless. There weren’t even wireless telephones. Looking back now, it was like, ‘F**k, they downloaded something into me!’ Or they uploaded something from my brain, like an experiment. ‘See what this guy knows.’”
He says that he’s been plagued by alien abductions in plain daylight since his childhood, but kept his confusing experiences to himself until now.
“I couldn’t talk about it because I didn’t know how to explain it. I didn’t understand the technology. But now I’m pretty sure it was a wireless situation. Either a download or upload,” he guesses. “They were tapped into my brain and the knowledge was transferred back and forth. I could see them and everything while it was happening.”
