[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Teena Marie[/lastfm] was honored at a private memorial service in Los Angeles yesterday by some of her iconic one-time label mates, including [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Stevie Wonder[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Smokey Robinson[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Queen Latifah[/lastfm] and Motown founder Berry Gordy Junior.

The two-hour Catholic mass, held at Forest Lawn in the Hollywood Hills, was closed to reporters.

The 54-year-old, born Mary Christine Brockert, died December 27th of natural causes.
